Logistics Director (High Level)

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and dynamic person to drive our operations and manage our supply chain!


  • Relevant University degree (supply chain, logistics, operations, etc) or recognized certification in Supply Chain Management;
  • Experience in operations, distribution, supply chain and/or logistics in rural regions in Africa;
  • Has managed the entire supply chain process for a company across multiple countries and is a passionate problem solver;
  • Experience in managing and coordinating teams;
  • Experience in data analysis, data management and creating organizational tools;
  • Experience in HR and basic accounting necessary;
  • Dynamic, flexible, highly motivated, able to hit targets under pressure, open-minded and highly adaptable
  • Driven by our social mission and passionate about rural development
  • Fluent in French
  • Fluent in English preferred

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage the logistics and after sales teams including hiring, training and coaching them
  • Work closely with the after sales to hit repair targets
  • Work closely with technical staff and field staff to identify problems and develop innovative solutions to repayment and after-sales procedures;
  • Propose and develop new projects in the field;
  • Manage and ensure transparency and control over stock and entire supply chain process across multiple countries while maintaining low churn; This includes purchasing, importation, distribution and reverse logistics.
  • Performs punctual revisions of the Supply Chain processes and implements improvements and systems if necessary.
  • Other duties as requested by DG or Board of Directors
  • Minimum commitment of 2 years

Country Manager (English Speaking West Africa)

We are looking for a person to oversee our subsidiary in an undisclosed West African country. Country Managers are the most senior position operating within a country, and thus are responsible for all local P&L, country expansion plans, hiring, marketing, engaging with government officials and securing local and strategic partnerships. This position will report directly to the founders, will sit among our Executive Team and will have significant influence in broader organizational priorities. He/She will be expected to drive the organizational performance while  maintaining our fun start-up culture.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • If you have built a company up from start-up to success, if you have built and managed a massive workforce of people, if you can show us how you directly impacted a company's revenue, growth and/or high level strategy, we want you to apply!
  • You MUST have a minimum 3 years as a Country Manager or West Africa Regional Director position in a growing, fast-paced company in West Africa
  • Extraordinary candidates with 3 years of experience as an executive at an investment bank or a top management consulting firm will also be considered
  • 2 years of International experience or education abroad is an asset
  • Fluency in English is required (French is an asset)
  • Previous experience in HR and Finance necessary
  • You MUST be a strategic thinker and self-motivated team player

Junior Grant Manager

We are looking for a person to manage our current grants, write proposals, apply for awards and represent Oolu at stakeholder engagement events.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent written skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly, persuasively and accurately in French and English
  • 2 years minimum of grant writing experience and/or grant reporting
  • Demonstrated experience writing successful grants
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent ability to work autonomously to guide their own work and liaise between Oolu team and grantors
  • Excellent capacity to take initiative to work with the rest of the team to gather information and synthesize for submission
  • Ability to prepare presentations for stakeholder engagement activities
  • Ability to attend events as a representative for Oolu and engage with potential grantors from handshake to close
  • Prior experience reporting for DFID and/or USAID grants is an asset but not required

Sales and Marketing Manager (English Speaking West Africa: Country TBD)

We are hiring for further expansion in West Africa!

Key Responsibilities

  • Will work with the Business Developer to launch the pilot project in a new market, conduct all m&e activities, determine regional and sub-regional pricing models; build the team to scale, and ensure results oriented reporting to the board;
  • Will support the Executive team with sales strategy formulation for a new market opportunities (state, local and community) including pricing, product and go-to-market strategy;
  • Will manage a large team of sales staff, assign and boost sales objectives and lead all training programs;
  • Will collect, monitor and evaluate data in the field in order to hit monthly sales targets, improve sales, anticipate customer needs and expectations and better marketing processes;
  • Design and lead communication strategies;
  • Work closely with technical personnel to determine new project modalities and optimal project implementation solutions;
  • Manage a large sales team and put in place strategies to ensure success in a new market;
  • Perform other duties as required and requested within the framework of his/her responsibilities or as assigned by the Executive Team;
  • We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in a leading roles in sales, business development, marketing or other relevant area.    
  • We’re looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in building and managing large teams

Skills and Experience:

  • Applicants must have previous experience working in a sales and marketing role where they helped scale a startup;
  • The applicant must speak fluent English and be highly motivated by our social mission;
  • Previous experience in rural regions in West Africa is required;
  • Previous experience in building and managing a sales team;
  • Previous experience as a lead sales manager for a leading distribution company in West Africa is an asset;
  • Previous experience in recruiting, training, finding talent, and HR is an asset;
