We are hiring an IT Project Manager!

Key Responsabilities:

  • Support the development, the roll out and the test of tech platforms and tools
  • Be the contact person between the company and our IT developers
  • Assist the technology department with the planning, management and  analysis of all IT related activities
  • Support the design of new processes and tools that simplify management and improve the efficiency of our network of agents
  • Train and build capacity in the local team to ensure continuity of the improved and/or new processes

Skills and Experience:

  • Management of IT projects with the Agile method
  • Knowledge of IT programming and Data management and analytics
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a small team of IT developers
  • French and Wolof proficiency is required, English and other local languages would be considered an asset
  • Ability to take initiative and learn quickly
  • Curiosity toward the use of technology in a rural setting

Sales and Marketing Manager (English Speaking West Africa: Country TBD)

We are hiring for further expansion in West Africa!

Key Responsibilities

  • Will work with the Business Developer to launch the pilot project in a new market, conduct all m&e activities, determine regional and sub-regional pricing models; build the team to scale, and ensure results oriented reporting to the board;
  • Will support the Executive team with sales strategy formulation for a new market opportunities (state, local and community) including pricing, product and go-to-market strategy;
  • Will manage a large team of sales staff, assign and boost sales objectives and lead all training programs;
  • Will collect, monitor and evaluate data in the field in order to hit monthly sales targets, improve sales, anticipate customer needs and expectations and better marketing processes;
  • Design and lead communication strategies;
  • Work closely with technical personnel to determine new project modalities and optimal project implementation solutions;
  • Manage a large sales team and put in place strategies to ensure success in a new market;
  • Perform other duties as required and requested within the framework of his/her responsibilities or as assigned by the Executive Team;
  • We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in a leading roles in sales, business development, marketing or other relevant area.    
  • We’re looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in building and managing large teams

Skills and Experience:

  • Applicants must have previous experience working in a sales and marketing role where they helped scale a startup;
  • The applicant must speak fluent English and be highly motivated by our social mission;
  • Previous experience in rural regions in West Africa is required;
  • Previous experience in building and managing a sales team;
  • Previous experience as a lead sales manager for a leading distribution company in West Africa is an asset;
  • Previous experience in recruiting, training, finding talent, and HR is an asset;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Appraisal : Development, analysis and reporting of financial and portfolio performance KPI’s.

  • Field Operation Appraisal: Analysis of field operation efficiency and effect on portfolio performance. Development of improvement strategies, balancing financial and operational burden with portfolio improvement.

  • Market & Portfolio Intelligence: Investigate portfolio characteristics and customer behaviour using our database and results from pilots, tests and surveys. Development of a predictive model for customer and portfolio performance.

  • Suggest improvements to pricing strategy by evaluating cost, customer behaviour, market positioning, economic conditions and volume.

  • Develop and drive creative margin improvement initiatives.

  • Work cross-function to drive the execution of improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant degree or more than 2 years experience in a similar role

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Background in statistics/behavioural economics/analytics

  • Experience using Database Management, Data Visualization or Statistical Analysis tools

  • Proficiency in French and English



Investment/Business Analyst (Senegal)

  • Bac +5/Bachelors or Masters degrees in Finance, Economics or other relevant degree

  • 2+ years of experience in strategy, business or investment analysis

  • Strong financial knowledge and financial modelling skills

  • Proficiency in English and French

HR Manager/Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the HR team including hiring, training and coaching

  • Lead hiring, performance management, learning and development, employee engagement as well as talent management to free the full potential of Oolu employees in our different countries of operations.

  • Lead company culture initiatives and improve the culture and work environment by analysing employee feedback and data.

  • Understand Oolu Solar’s operations and strategy to identify gaps and anticipate upcoming HR needs.

  • In charge of leading senior recruitments directly

  • Oversight of human resources operations

  • Other duties as requested by DG or Board of Directors

  • Minimum commitment of 2 years
